We are so proud of our Nursery children.
The Nursery children have settled in so well and are quickly learning our routines.
We now have Hello Time every day and have started to do some small group, focused work.
This week we have started activities aimed at developing pencil grip and drawing skills. We found lots of circles in our environment and talked about their round, curved shape. We played circle games, walking around in a circle together, played with hoops and danced, making big cirdes around our bodies with colourful scarves. Then we practised drawing circles on big sheets of paper, turning them into faces, balloons and bubbles.
We had fun playing with the toy dogs and made up a fun counting game, counting out bones to match the numeral and dot pattern cards.
What clever ‘counters’ we have in Nursery.
Our Star of the Week are
Some of our children have been collecting conkers and beautiful Autumn leaves on the way to Nursery. Next week we will be finding out more about Autumn. Our story will be “The Busy Little Squirrel” by Nancy Tafuri.
