Practical Science!

This week has been another very hardworking week!

Today in science, we have been learning about different things that you can do to materials to change them. We learned that dissolving means a solid can mix with a liquid and become a solution.

After planning a fair test, we carried out our experiments and found out that sugar, salt and coffee are soluble. On the other hand, rice and flour are insoluble materials.

In Maths, the children have moved onto exploring the relationship between improper fractions and mixed numbers. The children have also been applying their knowledge to be able to reason with the fractions. They are really showing huge improvements in their ability to reason with increasing confidence!
