Children from Ellesmere Primary School brought a warm glow to their chilly outdoor production of ‘A Little Nativity’.
There was a chill in the air but the magical performance by Early Years pupils lifted the hearts of onlookers on Tuesday, December 6.
The school’s outdoor classroom was transformed into a stable and children acted out the Christmas story, with Mary and Joseph riding in on a donkey, played by Lilly New.
She took over the reins from last year’s real-life donkey who was not so well behaved.
Deputy Headteacher Kelsey Mort said: “The children were amazing and it was a magical and special evening.
“We are extremely proud of all of the children who worked incredibly hard and sang so beautifully.”
Parent, Marie Rowe, added: ” It was fantastic. We left with a warm glow and ready for Christmas.”
Headteacher Andrew Everett congratulated the children and staff on an ‘amazing’ and ‘perfect’ performance.
