Our trip across the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct.
On Friday 11th March the F2 children in Scotland and Wales travelled to Trevor for a narrow boat experience. We boarded the narrow boat and gently set sail down the canal and over the aqueduct. We took turns to sit on the front of the boat and take in the spectacular views. Mr Jones, Jones the boats, looked after us and taught us all about the aqueduct. It was an amazing experience!
We were ready for our picnics after our trip and all settled in the picnic area to enjoy the spring weather. We later walked down the steps to the bottom of the aqueduct where we could really appreciate the height of the bridge! We enjoyed a play in the play area before setting off back to school.
We arrived back in school with a coach load of tired and happy children. The teachers were all extremely proud of all the children’s OUTSTANDING behaviour.
We started Monday off by talking about the trip and all children wrote about their adventures.
