On Thursday 14th September year 5 went on their school trip to The Grosvenor Museum in Chester.

When we arrived a Roman Soldier led the way to the ruins of the Chester Amphitheatre for formations training. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side but that didn’t stop us marching behind in our replica armour. When we arrived at The Amphitheatre the children learnt different moves used by the soldiers when they were in battle. After lunch we took part in a range of activities including an information session where the children learnt all about the Romans invading Britain and some children dressed up in Roman costumes. We were also given the chance to explore the Roman Galleries at the museum and here we learnt lots of interesting facts.

We had a fantastic day! Well done year 5 for your excellent behaviour throughout the day!
