This week has been a very busy one for the children in Reception. We focused on Harvest and taught the children all about the importance of helping, sharing and taking care of others through the traditional tale ‘The Little Red Hen’. We learnt about how farmers harvest their crops using powerful machines called combine harvesters.
We enjoyed collecting Autumn treasure in our forest session and then using our treasure to create pictures after reading the story ‘Leaf Man’.
We were extremely proud of our Reception children for performing a song to all of the parents on Thursday morning and we are extremely grateful for all of the generous donations parents contributed to our Harvest table which will be donated to our local food bank. Have a lovely weekend everyone!
