Dinosaur Captured on Camera at Ellesmere Primary School

We have had a very exciting week in year 1 this week. From a newly painted classroom, a dinosaur being spotted at school on Monday to the owl man visiting on Wednesday.

This week we have been learning all about dinosaurs and the dinosaur was captured on camera leaving an egg outside the school doors! The egg finally hatched on Thursday, it was very exciting!

From the work on dinosaurs all the class have created their own dinosaur and made a fact file for them. The fact file included its name, diet, habitat and an amazing fact.

In Maths we have been learning all about the symbols more than and less than ( < >) and that the symbols are like a crocodiles mouth. The crocodile always eats the bigger number.

On Wednesday we were lucky enough to see a variety of amazing animals. The children got to hear all about what different owls eat, where they live and the different breeds of owl. The Owl Man has 21 different owls. We got to stroke the largest owl species of owls, the European eagle-owl.
