Children from key stage 1 and key Stage 2 have been competing in sporting events this week. Our success has continued with a second place in handball.

On Tuesday, children from Year 4 participated in out first ever handball event. Before the competition we had the opportunity to have a quick go and make ourselves familiar with the rules. After the first game we soon realised the tactics needed to score goals. As a result we won all four of out remaining games to finish second in the competition. We all really enjoyed the sport and going to play it again in school as part of a house sports event.

Our second event we competed in this week was the house orienteering event. Four children from Year 4 and 7 children from Year 2 represented the school at the event at Delamere Forest. The children thoroughly enjoyed the event where they had the opportunity to work in teams with children from all the academy trust schools. Children raced to completed the course, collecting letters from control points on the way around. Jaz and Daniel were part of the winning team. A lovely day out, well done to all the children involved.
