Our trip to Enginuity
On Thursday, Year 2 had an exciting and informative time at Enginuity, a Science and Technology centre in Telford.
The day started with an amazing Forces Interactive Show, where the children had the opportunity to learn all about gravity, friction, air resistance and thrust. Several children had the opportunity to assist in the exciting demonstrations and experiments.
Next, we had the chance to explore the hands-on exhibits. The children were able to look at familiar objects using a giant x-ray machine, build an earthquake proof tower and test their reactions against the speed of a robot. We also had a lot of fun trying to build an enormous bridge – the children who achieved it certainly excelled at teamwork!
After a relaxing picnic lunch, we headed off to Ironbridge for a spot of sketching. The children definitely had an eye for detail and created some wonderful drawings of the bridge.
It was a great day and the children were a credit to the school.
