In Forest School Donaldson class read one of their advent stories ‘Pick a Pine Tree’. They spotted some pine trees in the forest and decorated them, they had to be careful as they were prickly! Their forest looked very festive afterwards!

Year 2 Stay Safe with Forest Fires
In Forest School, Mrs Griffiths lit a fire and taught the children how to stay safe around fire. The children sharpened their own willow sticks and cooked some dough on the fire. They were extremely sensible and made me very proud.
Morpurgo Class received some exciting post when they discovered that the first letters had arrived from their pen pals in France. Morpurgo Class couldn’t wait to reply, they wrote some impressive letters back telling their new friends about themselves in French.

Buddhist Zooms into Year 5 Classroom
Year 5 enjoyed a live zoom session with Saido, who is a Buddhist, to learn more about the next religion we will study during our RE mini mission! We were shown artefacts, photos and made lots of fantastic notes to help us with our learning.
We’re Wearing Odd Socks….. Are You?
OddSocksDay is part of our AntiBullying Week! To celebrate that we are all unique, children have been asked to come to school dressed in odd socks!
Habitat in a box
In our mini mission this week the children have been learning about habitats and how the animals that live there are suited to their environment. They have all made a ‘habitat in a box’ this afternoon. I was very pleased with their creativity, imagination and independence (and tidying up!)
