We used metre sticks to measure out prehistoric creatures!

Last week, Year 3 were focusing on measurement in Mathematics. We looked at measuring in mm, cm and m then how to convert between the units of measure. On Wednesday afternoon we estimated then measured the width of the classroom, then went outside to draw up the height and width of real life dinosaurs! The children were shocked to see just how big these creatures really were and measured in metres using chalk on the playground.

Marking where to measure from next.
