Covid-19
Ellesmere Primary School is currently open to children of Critical Workers and those considered vulnerable.
Symptoms
If you or your child are displaying any one of the following symptoms please do not send your child to school:
- a new continuous cough
- a high temperature
- a loss of, or change in, sense of taste or smell
It is more important than ever that we all follow the simple rules around hand washing, avoiding touching our face and seeking a test as soon as a member of your household has one or more of the symptoms listed above.
Please make sure you inform us, via email or phone, as soon as possible if anyone in your home needs a test, and the result of that test when you get it. Children will only be allowed back to school if they have had a negative test after symptoms.
In school
If a child in school becomes unwell with a new and persistent cough or a high temperature, or has a loss of or change in, their normal sense of taste or smell (anosmia), they must be sent home and advised to follow guidance for households with possible or confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) infection, which sets out that they should self-isolate for at least 10 days and should arrange to have a test to see if they have coronavirus (COVID-19).
