Year 6 ‘Dragons’ Den’ style pitches.

This week in topic, year 6 teams baked their prototypes to take to their ‘Dragons’ Den’ style pitch, to see if they could get funding to cater the Christmas productions this year.

On Monday, we all worked feverishly in the dining room, with the help of three wonderfully supportive parents, to make our designs come to life. Prototypes of our biscuits products were made for tasting and evaluation.

On Tuesday afternoon, each group took their products to the ‘Dragons’ Den’. Our Dragons were Mrs Mort and Miss Wilcox who certainly had their work cut out for them. Every group was superbly prepared and the ‘Dragon’s enjoyed tasting the prototypes.

We also had Mr Williams, Oliver’s dad, visit us to discuss the food and drink industry. This linked amazingly well with our work on branding and pricing.

We were amazed by the facts and figures that he told us about; there are an extraordinary number of people who work within the Brunning and Price business.

In year 6, we feel very lucky to have been supported this week by so many of our parents. Thank you to all of them as they have really helped our learning.

At present, I do not know who has won the pitch…. watch this space!
